I love my skeeter.......

That boat is basically the same as mine. You'll have to come down for the skeeter owner's tourney in July on Lake Fork....

www.basscat.com nuff said:-)

Skeeters makes a nice boat. When I was in the marker for a boat I looked at Skeeter, Ranger, Triton and Basscat.

At least do yourself a favor and go look at them, take a test ride and compare prices. Also, check out Basscat's forum and you will see that Rick Pierce (owner of basscat) answers any all questions posted.

Click on this link http://www.texasfishingforum.com/.ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=014868 . Pay paticular attention to what Mike Bristel from North Texas Fiberglass has to say.

See if this one works:
TFF Boat discussion

Now it should work.....

As long as you stay away from Nitros you should be ok.

Yea, My Ranger boat sucks! I have heard of 3 other boats locally with gel-coat problems. My boat is in the shop again for the 3rd or 4th time for washdown pump failure, then it has to go to the fiberglass shop again to finish the gelcoat repairs and now I have 2 places where the gel coat has chiped off.... The gelcoat on one of the locker doors is fading, what looks like rust specks are showing up all over the boat's decks, And the saga goes on!!!

Let me add - I have taken past issues to Ranger and Ranger has responded that they will take care of anything that breaks and is covered under warranty in a timely manner. Somehow that just is not enough - Am I outa line? So far I think I have had over 30 issues (i'd have to check my list to validate QTY) with the boat and I bought it in July 04. Mostly Ranger Warranty Issues! Honestly - I wish I could get my money back. I'd even take a loss to get out of the headaches.

Don't buy Ranger!!!

I have decided to keep my Tracker for at least another year, but thanks for the replies.
