ManOman, Kay made a heck of a showing last weekend...
She won the ladies division out right and pulled in 2-cks.
I almost got 2-cks but my last fish spit up a huge shad on the ride to weigh-in, I coudn't believe it.

We tried to get Chad or Jeff to weigh the shad along with the fish in the same bag-------that got some good laughs..
Needless to say my fish came up just short of the bottom weight. As I was about to walk off the stage Jeff Welsh has Chad weigh the shad, it was .06, my fish was 1.99, + .06 = 2.05 $$$$$$$$ it would have cashed..
Funny how nature can come in to play at the wrong time, at least for me it did....LOL

Reminds me of old times when Kay was kicking azz, I love to see that, and when I find a huge school of fish on a thursday before the tournament...

This event was my last shot at competion until next spring,
I have most of my strength back for the moment, only to be taken away in a few weeks.
I go into the hospital Nov 7-th for the BMT and won't get out until after Thanksgiving (thank god) that's the end of my treatments. I'm told it will take 3-6 months for my recovery to be able to work again.. Gezzzzzzzzzzzzz, some boring times ahead.
I want to thank you guys for the prayers and support, it means a great deal to me.
I'm being told this IS ONLY temporary you'll get better soon..
It's very difficult to deal with, lot of pain and aches, and looking like a freak every day is something I wouldn't wish on anyone...

Billy, Corey and I missed a check by .01 lbs in the JC Outdoors championship couple years ago. One of the fish spit up a 4-5" perch in the live well on Saturday which would have moved us up more than just one spot in the overall. Oh well, at least we had a good time and caught some fish that weekend... :-)

Brother, you know we are praying for you and I know our God has you in his hands. It may be tuff now but your pretty salty anyway and can handle it. I am looking forward to hopping in that red boat this upcoming spring and chasing them little green fish with you and Kay. I think I have forgotten what a soft plastic bite feels like. :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
