Today they start banking my stemcells... Might take a few days, the number is 5-million. They collect and count each day till we reach that majic number takes about 4-hrs for me. Had the tri port put in yesterday, I'm sore as heII.. Just one more step to recovery, I hope to make the spring scene this year with the rest of you boyz like old times... | ||||||

Billy, what type of cancer do you have? My Mom makes her last trip to the center for her last chemo on Monday. She has beaten the beast we think. I was telling her about you and she is adding you to her churches prayer list. They are a VERY strong group to have supporting you. When you have a bunch of old blue haired bible carrying ladies behind you you cannot lose!! Seriously they are a great group of ladies and they are on your team now also. Holy Cow is this the strangest thing ever.... Watch your blood leave your body and go through a maze of tubing, spinning wheels and then head back to you while filling a odd looking bag that holds the stemcells. It's painless so far... Chuck I have whats called formally E.A.T.L. cancer. (T-cell lymphoma) Thank you for the prayer group, that's a huge blessing for me. I can't tell you how much I believe in that, thank you again. I can't wait to see you guys again and hoist a cold one with the gang... | ||||||

Thank you Oz, thats wonderful.. Well the harvest isn't going as good as hoped, my bone marrow suffered from the Chemo. Thats not the norm, most people fly right through. In 2-days I've got 1.88 mil, minimum take a gamble on is 2-mil.. I'm gonna give it a go again tomorrow, if my counts keep dropping we may give it a break for a week or two before trying again.. Best news I've gotten in a long while was yesterday, my PetScan came back clean.. Thats a real good thing, It didn't show any cancer... The bone marrow trans is insurance so to speak going forward against further out breaks (we hope)... | ||||||

Harvest is on hold.. I'm beat up pretty bad from the 3-days I was active. Only got 2.3 mil stemcells, they would like 5 mil for some back up if I need a boost later down the line. 2-mil is enough to do it but, I am waiting a week or two so I can heal up and get where we want to be. I guess my marrow didn't like the chemo, put a hurt'n on it. My feet are big as water ballons, extra fluid from the back flush when they pump my blood back in.. We'll get there, just gonna take a little longer than exspected I reckon...Fortunately I'm cancer free for the time being... I hope everyone had a great Halloween...!!!!!! | ||||||

2.3 mil... are they sure they counted accurately???? They might have missed one or two of them little suckers when they blinked... Make sure you tell Kay "thank you" from me! My in date to the hospital has been pushed out until Dec,12.. I get a month to rest up and try again to get those StemCells.. What I don't like is getting 3-shots a day for 4-days in the stomach. I can't watch when I get those... They start the day after Thanksgiving, the harvest will be on again that first week of Dec... In the mean time, I feel great, still weak from all this crud, but I'm gonna be a Crappie Monster until my in date, I love catching them when they're down south by the dam... | ||||||

Big crappies lots of 14-15+ inchers...minners 20-30 foot depending on cloud cover, or lack of, time of day etc... Had to hunt,and move around some, but they're starting to bunch up in a lot of spots... Should just get better from here on... |
