Since I have been dedicating all of my free time to spending it with my girls -- since they are almost out of high school -- I have not had a lot of time to fish. The boat had been in the garage since the Skeeter last year and I finally pulled it out and cranked it. Made a quick trip to Lake X on Good Friday then decided to take a vacation day and hit Fork yesterday. Had a great time out fishing the ol' pond. Got there with the sun breaking the horizon and it did not take long to break the ice with a chunky green fish.  On the next cast this fell victim to the disception...  Spent the rest of the day plucking the occasional fish off a bed or catching them out a little as I was cruising around looking for more beds. Ended the day with 25 fish. Unfortunately there was no real size to them -- biggest almost 5 pounds. But there were some great weighers in that group I caught. Bottom line, it was nice to visit Fork again and catch some fish.  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

It was nice to hear the Skeeter slap the water again... Getting the line stretched was a mojor plus also. Don't get me wrong, I have no regrets putting the girls first but dang I miss fishing the big pond and hangin out with all you Forkers. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
