Got the lodge booked Oct-19-24 http://www.vrbo.com/413942 It has 2-nice 3/2 mobile homes on the property too, all the rooms in the lodge are booked at the moment, but both mobiles are open to my knowledge. Any of you guys want join us you're more than welcome to join us at your leziure. Some of the pictures are of the mobiles you can kind of tell which ones they are. To date: Me&Kay, JP&Elizabeth, Howdy&Melissa, Ken Rawlins&Wife, Mark Pack &?... No sure yet if I'm gonna take the pontoon or not just yet.. I think it would be great to fish the mouth of the Mississippi or some of the deeper back waters with shrimp/mullet/crocker for reds&trout or run out to the short rigs if it's calm for tuna wahoo, and cobia... I'm looking at 2-guide trips one in the bay for reds/trout, $800 for 4 people. One bluewater trip on a 33'ft w/3-300hp yamaha's for $ 1600 for 6 people. Yellow fin tuna and wahoo, dorado, and cobia. The plan is to track the bay trip for reds and trout with a hand held GPS or phone and go back out in the toon 1-2 days of the 4-we plan to fish. One evening no doubt will be spent on Bourbon street and the French quarter only 1-hr + from the lodge. Never been - gotta go-gotta go. Bucket list stuff for me, kind of worry a little about taking the toon, but I don't have anything else close to a 22'CC skeeter like JP has. I can carry 6-people and I have a bathroom on it for the ladies, 2-livewells and a 15-gal bait tank for shrimp, crocker etc... Anyone ever hear of taking a Toon to Venice ??? |

Sounds like fun but I can't seem to stay sober long enough when near a beach to do any fishing. Lol |

We killed the yellow fin last weekend. Windy tough seas but the fishing was great. |

As the elder Dom Pickle... I from time to time pull up one of the younger soldiers to prove himself...Lee Livesay has proven himself as worthy of my attention. If he fails.. He will wake up with a huge lake fork Gaspergoo {drum} head in his bed...We will be making a run at the Basscat regional at the bend in hopes of going to the big show in Arkansas... |

He and his partner won AOY in Bass Champs if I remember correctly. That's impressive, he also did good in the Skeeter one year with a big 9+ to win and hr use'n a dropshot with 6-lb test. I know what a gaspergoo is...LMAOOO Good Luck in the regional |

Lake Fork has Gaspergoo? ... Billy, ya'll should have a blast down there and I recommend that you skip the NO visit and just go fishing. I hate that town almost as much as I hate Houston. If you end up in skinny water chasing redfish, think bass fishing. Wade slaughters the redfish on swimbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, etc... They like something moving. Gold weedless spoon also works really well. The key is a moving bait. Can't wait to hear the results of the trip and see some pictures! Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
