Looks like Fork is catching water at the right time of the year... About a foot of water in the last week or so is definitely helpful. As much as I hate how saturated we are at home and the pasture and horse paddocks... We have to be this wet for it to finally make it to the lakes.   Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

What a blessing! The lakes should rise even more with the rain we are receiving today. I'm hoping a little further east of Fork is catching this run off too so my little fishing hole fills back up. | ||||||

Billy, We ended up staying with Jeff. I think I saw you drive by while we were parking the truck and boat. We all went to eat at Bro's. They ran out of food before we got to order. Had a good time and hope to get back down there soon. The fishing is getting ready to bust loose. We caught our fish on points in Alligator and West Bay. All slot fish. Had two unders on but the jumped off. BassZone.com

Yeah, OZ we got there at 7:30 and all fish and crawfish were gone. I had a burger and some frog legs. A friend of mine, Dave Parsons sweet talked them and we got a few pieces of fish before we left. I was all set for 5 pounds of bugs. BassZone.com

Charles, It's next to the Fishermans one stop on 515 next to the turn off for Lands End.. Dru, I can't believe Jeff and Kathy retired, "shocker" they're both my age. Good for them, they earned it I reckon. I hope to be with them in 4-5 yrs if I live that long, God willing.. Are you working for the partner, Jeff said he wanted to retire in a few yrs as well...Don't mention that part if you don't mind, he may not want that known..lol. | ||||||

Yeah I'm working for David. Never met the guy. There were 42 people in our office January 1. Now there are 12. I knew Jeff wanted to retire this is just a little sooner than he thought. He and Kathy are both happier now and Jeff is back to making baits which is a good thing. BassZone.com

Yeah Charles it's only open on weekends, you turn right off 515 go down the lil road with house's and it's one of them.. Can't remember the name, but it was good food, been there for 100yrs... Wow, I hope it keeps going for ya Dru.. Jeff is one heck of a bait maker, I have a few cranks and topwaters.. His attention to detail is astounding... He's changed some in my opinion over the last 8-10 mons, more distant than he used to be. Not just with me, with my son&law BO too.. Those two talked almost daily, I guess the decision to retire has had him busy preparing for the future...Who knows... | ||||||
