We're trying to go in every Thursday night if Kay don't have any meetings... I can fish Fridays and do the yard work Sat or Sun. It's always better during the week.....Still lots of folks down here fishing for a week plus at a time... Man it was nice down there this past weekend, really enjoyed the warmer weather.. About time, we got the pontoon boat back in the boat house too.

Sunday was a nice day on the water.

We stayed mid and south lake. Found our warmest (64)and cleanest water down south. Caught a few on flukes and chicken chit lizard rig. Tried a Wacky for a little bit but the wind made it too difficult so abandoned that pretty quick.

Towards the end of the day we started seeing a lot of males cruising.

Next trip is the 9th thru 12th.

I finally pulled the boat out of the garage and fired it up for the first time since April last year. I will be doing some fishing this weekend -- hopefully Friday.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I had a scare last week with my boat not being used much since last October. It was stumbling and cutting out losing power. The gas had treatments in it the whole time it sat, Chuck at service marine saved the day.. He gave me a pump you hookup to your primer ball and suck all the bad gas out.
I pumped it all into my truck, about 20+ gallons. He had me change the spark plugs @ $9.00 ea then fuel up with fresh gas and it was back in the game before the MEGA..
What happens is, the Octane will evaporate from the fuel...that will make it run like crud in a two stroke, fine in my truck...
All said and done it cost me 59 bucks, I was a happy camper...
I usually run my boat yr round, so it's a non-issue usually...
Be carful PQ add some serious Octane booster if you use the fuel in the boat or add a bunch of new gas before you drive down to mix it up..FYI..bro.

Thanks Billy... I have about a quarter tank in it right now and figured I would add premium to it for this trip. I remember those good 'ol days when the boat ran almost every weekend and I never had to worry about this stuff.

I fully expected the carbs to be junked up from sitting. I usually have to clean the carb on my 30HP every summer before the beach. Sometimes the primary is fine but the secondary is clogged but I cannot test that fully without putting the motor under a load.

I will be calling you for a tow when it strands me on the lake... :-)
