Not that one has anything to do with the other....LOL However the frog bite on Fork is (for me) off the chain. Bruse's on my fat belly from the rod but.. Is there a more exciting way to catch a black bass- I think not, it can scare you at times, the strike can be that violent. I love it, baby spro poppers and Ribbit's were the ones we used. It took 6 blowups before Kay got one in the boat. She is hooked on Ribbits, 50 lb braid with a big Dobyns rod and she started hooking up.. It was fun to watch... I wish we had been listening to the tournament on Kmoo, the baby spro popper was netting me some decent weigher's, 15-15.1/2 inch fish when my L/U blew up in the boat lane leaving Penson around noon Saturday... Randy Maxwell came to the rescue just like he did in the McDonalds in 06, that unit made it 8 3/4 yrs on Fork... I let my fish go at the ramp, prolly should have weighed the bigger one.. Chuck Turner at Service Marine said fishing line was the culprit, wrapped around my prop shaft and cut the seal letting the oil out. I did bang a stump hard enough Friday to bend a prop ear, who knows, all I know is I'm bass boatless and pray insurance will cover the $4150.00 it takes to get Big Red back on the water.. I had a great 11 day stay at the Forktress with frog rod in hand... Get out there and getcha some, it's a blast to catch'um that way...You'll like it... PS.. ck your prop shaft for fishing line once a month or more, I will going forward. |

Once the unit is over 5-yrs old they depreciate it accordingly... Interesting.... Waiting to see what they contribute to the repair, I have not been impressed with Farmer's insurance thus far... I may change soon, I deserve a lot of azz kissing with the premiums we pay... Ya know what I mean, it's carzy money to insure all this stuff... |

I try to do it 2-3 times a year, when we competed regularly it was always on my mind.. "you need to change it-you need to change it" Funny thing with L/U's even changing the oil on schedule you NEVER drain more than a hand full to what you pump back in. Where the heck is it going ? burnt up ? it's not leaking out, must evaperate or sump'n. I don't mind doing it, only takes 15-mins with the right equipment and it's key to a long life, now I'll be worried about Dam fishing line all the time.. Ya just can't win... LOL |
