Any of you Fork dudes gonna give it a go... I feel like I can put 5 together... Might not be all toads like the good ol days but, they are there if you find the right spot. Skeeter showed us that.. I'm not sure about this need to ck BassChamps site again but I'll say it anyway I'll be close... They had 2100 anglers, they weighed in like 260 fish total, that maybe high, but none the less say 260... For the 1-1/2 days of fishing only 1.3 % of all the anglers weighed a fish each hour.. They had 10-11 hourly weighin's It cracks me up with Kmoo saying : The fishing is great, some big fish coming to the scales... 22-26 fish total per hr.. Like I said only 1.3% of ALL the boats -people on the water made it to the scales each hour.. I know, we made 3-trips across the stage, which is exceptional considering those averages... Things that make you go Huuuuuuuummmmm..LOL | ||

She is fishing tough for those cookie cutters for sure....but those slot fish are a dime a dozen. I think in the next 2 years she will be right again for solid unders. Hopefully once the water levels stabilize we will see what she is about this year. Fish are too spread out and not really bunched up yet. | ||

Catching some Big slots in Penson, on big CB's in 6-9 foot... Digging baby.... had 4-in 4 cast all 4-6lbs, slowed down some switched to big soft plastics and caught 3 more. That was on Saturday, 9000% humdity and zero wind, and I drank way to many beers, dehydrated like no body's business that night... Ouch---crampage... | ||

The Howitzer and I have decided to decline putting ourselves through a severe case of the redarse. We fished together Thursday afternoon with meager results. I caught 3 in 8 hours on Friday while doing quite a bit of looking as well. The big H reported similar results. I went back Sunday afternoon and caught a good under on the first cast and then nothing after that for 2 hours ...... We are out and proud of it. We are going down to fish the Thursday evening deal. Got spanked,,, close to the cut line but no cigar, it was rough out deep, reckon I should get on the water more than a month at a time... Fish were in 6" inches of water, saw several caught in the dirt---couldn't believe it in Mid July----hey just goes to show ya --we don't know crud... | ||

Stayed in 3 feet of water all day - Had 5 for 5.65, culled 3 times and had 4 slots between 18-22. Caught a 10.05 in practice in the same water that went 25.5. Wish she would have been there on tourney day. | ||

Fished the last Thursday evening deal with Mark and we caught 2 unders and 2 nice slotters. Went back Sunday morning and fished from 6-11am and never got bit. Stayed out in 15 to 30 foot and that was not the ticket. Went home and took all my bass fishing stuff out of the boat. Going to try to do something productive like in putting some vittles on the table. I have started reading and posting in the catfishing section of the TFF.............
