It worked the last time I asked you guys to pray for something so I'm gonna ask again. My Mom has been cancer free for a little over a year now. Thank y'all for the prayers then. I just left the hospital and my Dad now has been diagnosed with cancer in his lungs. We don't know the type or extent at this point just that it is cancer. Once again we believe it has been caught in early stages. So please help me in praying for his health. Thanks.

Dad has Non small cell carcinoma. Find out tomorrow what the treatment will be. Sounds like if you gonna have lung cancer this may be the lesser of all evils.

This is what we got from meeting with Docs today. It's not nearly as good as I was expecting. Sorry if this don't make sense. Been an up and down few days. He will have MRI of the brain, a PET of entire body and a port within next week(for those who don't know a port is a surgically planted device where the chemo drugs will be injected)and we see Dr Page again Wednesday morning. He did not paint a pretty picture. Dad has Stage 3a in the lungs and it could change to Stage 4 after further testing. Stage 3a has an 20% chance and stage 4 is incurable. If it's in brain he will have radiation there. If not he will have chemo and radiation at same time. Surgery is not an option because he said where it is no way to be sure it was all removed and even 99% removal the one per cent would probably come back. Dad is headed for bad times and we just have to stay positive and give him all the support we can. The cancer he has is almost always caused from smoking. If you guys see me with a cigarette you have my permission to slap it out of my mouth. I'm gonna try to quit today and if any of you smoke please put them down. I'm staying as positive as possible. Thanks again for y'all's support

I really need your prayers now guys. We just learned Dads cancer is also in his brain. Pray for my mom as well. They have been married for almost 60 years and they mean so much to each other. He nursed her through this monster and she is now cancer free. She feels a lot of pressure to get him through this.

Dam Chuck, so sorry to hear about this.... I know what a port is, I had two. It will help with the treatments no doubt, I'll pray for ya brother, I smoked for 38 yrs prolly more. If I could get a do over on anything it would be to never have picked up that stupid habit... Prayers up my friend, God Bless you..
