What is everyones "go-to" bait for bass? I know everyone has one.

Mine is a brown jig with a green pumpkin zoom craw trailer. I catch bass all year on it.

Texas rigged plastic worm (7 inch Berkley PowerWorm) with a 3/0 offset hook and a 1/4 oz bullet with small "glow in the dark" chartreuse plastic bead between the weight and hook (clicks and glows). Colors are black, motor oil, blue, red shad and purple (depends on the water). At night I use glow paint on a black worm tail.

It works in rivers, creeks, ponds, lakes, shallow, deep, weeds, rocks, pitched, casted, nighttime, daytime and doodleing. :-)

Went wacky last year on Fork for a specialty tournament that was tiki-stik type baits only. Boated a 6+, several slot fish and we won big bass for the day on tiki-sticks.

One of my fishing buddies here at work fished wacky during the Irving Bass Club tourney we fished a few years ago while I was tossing my split-shot lizard and was nailing great slot fish up to 6 pounds but we could not manage any under the slot fish other than one 2 pounder. Lots of 4 - 6 pounders tho... :-)
