My good friends, Aaron (Featherlight) and Caleb and I are heading out bright and early tomorrow morning to do some river ultralight fishing at the slabs. The slabs is a stretch of river out by Burnet. We're just fishing ultralights and 1/16oz. roostertails and jigs. Going after bass, perch, catfish and whatever else bites. This place was loaded with fish last time I was out there. If any of you like to fish rivers, next time any of you are in the area, maybe we can meet up and cast a few out there.

Should be a great time!

Well...We caught 13 bass, largemouth and spots, anywhere from 5"-14". Most were caught on chartreuce 1/16 oz. roostertails with a gold blade. Water was somewhat murky. Caught alot of bluegills, didnt see a single catfish. Sorry, no pics...I was kinda scared to bring my camera with, we were wade fishing and the bottom of the river is slippery at parts.

It was a good trip, worth doing it again. The area was looking good!

Sorry, no pics.
