Good luck, bud!!

Man, I do love Rayburn. I've spent a lot of hours on that lake, but bet I haven't seen 1/4 of it!! Probably not even an eighth!

Again, good luck and bring home the $ and hardware!

Thanks for all the well wishes. Unfortunatly, I didn't represent very well.

My partner and I came in 30th place out of 41 or 49 (can't remember). Fishing was difficult for us as we only weighed two fish for 4.55.

We never did make it over to Rayburn.

If time allows I'll post a more detailed report later in the week.

Well it was a great time never the less I am sure. Anytime spent fishing is way better than not fishing.

Sorry that the tournament didn't turn out so well for ya. Time on the water with a friend is still a good thing!

Bummer on not placing higher, but congrats on weighing in fish none the less. You'll get 'em next time buddy...

Here's a quick rundown of the weekend.

Friday we caught seven fish, the best five wieghed right at sixteen pounds. We felt pretty good Friday night because everyone we spoke with was having a tough day.

Saturday I caught my first fish around 8:30. We didn't get another bite until around noon and that fish was a 1/4" to short. I caught another fish around 1:00 that liked to rip my rod and reel out of my hand. I could tell it was a "great" fish the way it was pulling. Unfortunatly it was a five or six pound striper. As we keeped grinding the day away trying to get some more bites time had ran out. At 2:30 I straped my rod down to get ready for the fifteen minute boat ride back to the scales my partner hooks a nice three pounder (talk about a last minute fish).

All in all it was a fun time except for the long drive home.

That sounds like my kind of luck. Catch good fish prefishing and then they shutoff in the tournament. Hope you have better luck on the next one.
