Picked up my deer head this past week. Thought I would share some pictures of the mount. The deer was killed in Mason back in Dec. Here's a pic of my other buck that came off the same ranch. And last, here's one of the two together.

You know, I just realized the taxidermist didn't set Klyde's mainbeam launch angles up correctly? Look at Klyde standing there with his ears covering the mainbeams in the live picture. Now compare that to his mount. Looks different huh? This was my first glimpse of Klyde caught on film as he entered my world. And then POPS entered my world with Klyde and I had to crawl into a corner of the blind in a pitiful attempt control my emotions.

Great looking mounts ATW. I was curious to see how Wide Clyde turned out. I do see what you are talking about. Horns look a little more layed back in the pictures. Good looking hill country deer! Where are you in Mason? I hunt in between Cherokee and Pontotoc (eight miles from Pontotoc, but we usually go to Llano for a few cold beers every now and then. |

We hunt on a day lease just south of Mason called the Homer Martin Ranch. We've been going there for about 8 years. We are usually there around the first week of December. Sturm, the north boarder of the ranch is the llano river. I can not remember the road number, but he has a webpage that might give directions. www.homermartinranch.com If you're richer than me I think we're related.
