I will be heading to Fork this Saturday with a fellow fisherman from my bass club. I think hawlin bass is also going to be there with his boy. Anyone else going to be on the lake?

I am seriously considering taking the kids somewhere Saturday morning. They have been on my back for a few weeks now to go fishing. I was thinking about Texoma tho so they can get use to their new spinning tackle in open water. I would hate for them to hook into a monster bass and loose it on Fork. At least on Texoma they stand a chance of getting one of those big stripers in as long as they let it play and just take drag out. I have been reading that the stripers are on fire right now and a lot of bird activity is happening. I might even take a half day tomorrow and go scout it out for the girls... :-)

I'll basically fish the Fork tourney blind. What day are you fishing the Fork tourney?
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Will do Charles.

Mike, I would like to fish on Friday mainly due to lighter boat traffic. I am also scheduled to work that Saturday night. I don't know if it's posted but the start time is going to be 8:00 and weigh in at 4:30. The tournament starts on your hole and you can use any ramp. Weigh in will be at 4:30 at the public ramp at the first 515 bridge. Do you want to fish together? If so can you take off Friday or do you need to fish on the weekend. If you can't fish Friday I don't mind fishing Saturday. I would just need to know pretty quick so I could request the night off. I know you took off last time so I don't mind taking off this time. I should have you a hat in the morning. They are $7 and we have two different styles. I might swing by your house on the way home and drop it off. If that don't work I can bring it later.

Also, if you have a partner already that's fine. I like to see as many people fish as possible. Either way I'm ready to fish. Let me know what you have in mind and will work out any details.

Is that the first bridge from the West or from the East... :-)

I was thinking abou taking that week off between the 5th and the 12th. Not sure that I would be able to take off that Friday. Let me talk to my wife and see what she has planned for that weekend. How much advance notice do you need to get that Saturday night off?

I would probably need to know by Tuesday night. That's my last night to work next week.

First question, west side of lake.

Texfisher,
Hey, I'll be at Fork all weekend. I'll be at the lake house. I'm heading out Friday night. I think I'll set the lights out and do some Crappie fish off the dock tonight. It's pretty easy to find my place. If your heading in to Willaim Creek I'm at Paradise Forest RV on the left side with the green Roof and the red, white and blue windmill on the right side of the boat ramp.

There are absolutely NO... I repeat NO fish in Williams Creek... Stay outa there Tex...

I got the go ahead from my wife today to take just one kid fishing and she will take the other riding and to her soccer practice. I have the whole day and I'm getting that itch to go to Fork... If I make it out there I will check in on you Oz. Tex, you going to have the cell phone on?

I may run to Texoma in the morning and if we are not wearing out the stripers just hit the road to Fork for the afternoon bite. Heck, maybe we will limit out by 9:00am and have no choice but to hit another lake... :-)

Guys, my number is 903 267-1695. We may go ahead and put in at williams creek. I'll look for you that morning. We may head north for the afternoon bite.

Mike, hopefully you get that quick limit. I've got two hats for you to chose from. I'll give you a call and try to catch you either on the lake or at your house. If I don't find you I'll get one to you before the tournament.

Fishing today was tuff for the most part. My partner ended up with 3 bass caught on worms and rattle traps. I had 2 bass both caught on a white spinnerbait. Water temp was 57 to 59 degrees. Fish were caught in 2 to 4 feet of water.

It was nice to meet you Ozz. Hopefully I'll catch you at your lake house again and visit a little more.

Here's some pics of my two fish.

Not the giants I was looking for but I was glad to have them. We fished hard from 8 to dark. So it was a lot of work to get those two fish. It's enough to bring me back though. Let us know how do tomorrow.

Texfisher,
Same here, too bad you didn't have time for a beer. I did end up catching a few really nice crappie off the dock on saturday night under the lights. It started raining so I put the big unbrella to work. one crappie was in the two pound range. I'll post a pic once I get it from the camera.

Great to hear you caught a few slabs. We hit the rain not long after leaving the lake. Sure made for a long drive home.

Hopefully the fish will be more cooperative next weekend.
