I just found out theres a fishing house just down the road and figured I'll go on and try it out sometime soon.People are saying some catfish and bass hang around there. What would be good bait to use to catch either of them?

You talking about a fishing barge? I know that several of the lakes up here have fishing barges that you pay a small fee to fish on the enclosed barge for crappie and what ever else happens to come along.

Check it out and take the camera... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Use stink bait for the catfish and just drop your line to the bottom and then reel up a few turns. Live minows, shad, waterdogs, and feeder goldfish will work as well. You might also through some lines out away from the boat house toward deeper water.

redneck88 has a private fishing house that he has access to on Lake Travis and it is attached to boat skiffs. zzzzz

Big Red and Wheaties work good for carp and catfish.

If you have the opportunity to fish at night during the heat of the summer, rig some lights over the water (laterns and such) and drop a 7inch black plastic worm down to the bottom (Texas rigged) and jig it up and down off the bottom. You don't need to cast and you don't need to reel it up unless you get a strike.

The lead weight will click off the rocks and attract bass.

Maybe one of these hot summer nights on the weekend we will get a few of us out on the lake and fish the boat docks (with lights on) and try that tactic. I did some of that last summer and broke off 2 times (10lb test) on big fish.

I would be all over it at night Cody. Just don't be taking any girls to the boathouse with you.

If you have lights out there it's well worth it. If you don't....I wouldn't listen to Will :-)
