Friday finds me fishing with the same guys as Wednesday. The tide is little to nil but very little else has changed except they wanted the bait quite a bit slower and a little smaller than the Tsunamis. A 100 trout by 12. Today most fell victim to a smoke with silver glitter stringray grub. Trout went straight to the cleaners. No pictures.
Sat AM finds me with the same guys also. We were a little later getting out this morning and had our limit by 10:30'ish. The trout were piled up eating on little black and silver minnows. Bait of choice today were H&H purple/chartruse and their version of Opening Night cocahoe tails. Another 100 fish. Can't get any better for these guys. 4 straight days of limits of trout. They went home with a 150 qt slap full of vaccum packed filets and still had 5 gallon bags of these fish I had to clean.
Cleaning table with a few fish on it.
Now this is a tub of carcasses.
Final Product
ATW, I'm boiling crawfish this afternoon. Will post some pictures for you. I'll be thinking about you while you and Wes are clearing brush!

Simek, I did today. I did not go even though I badly wanted too. Instead I boiled some dad's.
Everything you need for a boil!
Got the crawdad's cleaned!
Got the vegetables cooked!
They are waiting!
They be done!

Wade that ain't fair,, to be able to fish 4 days in a row,, then have a crawfish boil the next day is downright criminal !!! You ought to be hung !!!

I only got to fish three of the four! But life is pretty sweet right now!
Bill, it is not always this easy down here. We catch a lot of numbers around here but this has just been to easy. Just a good year. Weather is helping out a lot. |

I don't know what's more impressive the fish or the dads. I sure would like to get in on a crawfish boil. I bet PQ knows how to do some boiling. Mike, you have the family recipe. I'll find some bugs if you do.

Another easy limit of tasty trout -- this Bigun can catch fish...
Congrats Wade on another great weekend of fishing in SE Louisiana. The bugs were just the icing on the cake. You trying to make me homesick...?

You are right Bigboy! Not one picture of you. Not sure what happened. We may be able to make it this weekend. Will have to see. Except we will be Crappie fishing instead of trout fishing. OH and you will pay. My grass will need cut soon, truck washed, boat washed, Garage needs cleaned out, SHALL I GO ON?

Man what you talkin bout. I jsut washed ya truck, we don't hardly EVER wash your boat, its YOUR garade and YOU put all that stuff there, i don't need 2 clean that.
