My dad and his group are at Fork this week. I hear the weather is pretty harsh. Or are they just being wimps? Give me a forecast.
Also, the week of the 1st we are suppose to be meeting Wes and Oz, you going to be able to fish all day Friday thru Sun AM or what are the plans? I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to have my dad leave his boat at Tinker's or not. I probably will drive in Thur after work now instead of coming in on Wed as originally planned.
I've been known to pinch a tail or two in my life!

Wade, I am planning on taking that Friday off. I will prob drive up early friday morning. |

I will not be able to take the whole day off on Friday. I was off last week, off this Friday, so I cannot take another friday off unfortunately.

That is what I needed to know. I'll have him leave boat at Tinker's.
Wes, I'm looking forward to it. Hope I can afford the price of gas to get up there by then.

It was sleeting at the house this morning when my wife went out to feed. The winds have been brutal and the high today will be mid 40's.
You made the right call by waiting to come up...

I know I picked the right week. I fished on Fork for 4 days Sunrise to sunset of the exact weather you are experiencing about 12 years ago. Figured out I would never go back until it should have warmed up. The weather was so bad the lady I rented the cabin from kept stating she understood and would give me money back if I wanted to leave?

I leaving out Thrusday night. That way I can crappie fish off the dock at night. Last week Saturday we caught 12 nice ones. One was nearly 2lbs. they are just starting to move in now. It will omly get better from here on out. We do need some nice weather before then.

Great to hear some crappie are showing up shallow. They should be doing great by the time this event takes place.
Unless things get real busy, I may be able to take that Friday off. I will just have to play it by ear until the time grows nearer.

I probably would not be there until 8 pm at earliest I would think. Probably leave here at lunch. About a 7 hr drive.

I just talked to my dad. He is said he would not be deer hunting in that weather so he sure as heck ain't going fishing in it. It sounded like they are having a good ole retired men bonding time anyway.
