Mike and I discussed getting a group together to go to Tawakoni in a couple of weeks. Anyone want to go? The last time I was at Holiday Marina, I noticed almost all their Striper pictures were from March last year. If you want to go, just post here and we'll work out the details. |

If I can get someone to meet a perspective lease member at the deer lease that weekend I will load up my family and make it to this one. Glad you started the thread Keith, I was thinking about it last night. I may have to keep my participation to a half day depending on the progress of the barn and home repairs. You and Audra going to make it out there this weekend for some pre-fishing? Someone needs to know what is going on out there... Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

We will be down at Lake Buchanan this weekend. Keith's family has a big reunion every year, and that is this weekend. Rest assured, though...we WILL be fishing! BTW, Picou...I haven't forgotten that we need to paypal you! "Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths." - Jimmy D Moore

Put me down as a big maybe. I'm already trying to think of a way to hit Ozzie's b-day bash at fork the following weekend. I am off that Saturday so maybe my wife will be generous, being Easter weekend and all. Warning, I may have to bass fish part of the day. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Can't make it! Don't think the wife would dig me traveling 1000 miles two weekends in a row. (Message edited by bigun on March 16, 2005) I've been known to pinch a tail or two in my life!

Here's the latest fishing report.
quote:TAWAKONI Water stained; 54-59 degrees; 0.12' low. Black bass are fair on plastic worms around marinas and docks with brush in 8-12 feet. Crappie are good on live minnows jigs in 12-18 feet at the Duck Cove Fishing Barge and around man made brush piles. White bass are excellent on 1oz. white or chartreuse slabs fished close to the bottom around upper lake humps and ridges. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on 4" Sassy Shad and 1 to 2oz. slabs fished close to the bottom in 20-24 feet. Catfish are good on fresh shad and prepared baits in 15-20 feet around points close to the mouth of creeks
It's looking pretty good for sand bass, at least. |

I found out tonight that we have relatives coming over Saturday so I will not be able to make this one. Good luck to those who get to go. I'll be looking for the next one. I'll look tonight when I get home and see what the schedule is like. I know that next weekend I will be on Fork all weekend with Oz, Bigun, Wes, and maybe Tex & ATW. My wife would kill me if I made her take the kids to soccer again and I was fishing... Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

If the weather cooperates, I'd like to go sometime this weekend, but Saturday isn't looking very good. Have you ever seen a 93% chance of rain? From Weather.com
