Spent this past Friday night with friends in the Texas Hill Country.
Frank Simek, Trent Bush and Brett Cushman

Brett Cushman put some serious fabrication work into his bowfishing/flounder fishing boat.

He even fabricated his running boards on his F350

Time to hit the lake

Hunting for prey in the shallows

Brett aims the Oneida BlackHawk as the gallery looks on

A double

Another double

As the evening wore on, the shooting got hot

Who needs sun when you can have this much fun at night.

Till next time, have fun, be safe and kiss a fish....

Carp, gar, good friends, great rig, and excellent times...

Great writeup Rob and it looks like a great time was had by all. That is one heck of a rig there. I can't wait to see the results from the next flounder trip... Definately gets me thinking about doin some giggin myself.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Thanks guys.

We didn't count totals but we managed at least 18 - 20 fish per person.

Unbelievable action!

Sturm I'll find out what hull this is and report back.

And we are doing our part to rid the lake of rough fish too. Those big carp can make a pretty big dent in the small fry/hatchlings. Some of them hit 10 - 15 lbs and are fat as butter balls.

Yup Sturm, the boat is a 2070 custom built Weld-Craft. Brett ordered it with bow storage boxes on the port and starboard beams and then decked it out at home with Diamond plate on the top bow and stern platforms.

She rides pretty darn fast for a 115 hp and breaks a plane just in front of the center console.

Rob, you need to line that boat up to come down here and spear some redfish sometimes. Sweet boat!
