I'm looking for a decent campground on the water on the North end of Lake Conroe (stubblefield lake area). Some of my family members have a Bayhawk and they want to do a camp out and run a bunch of jug lines. Some place right on the water would be perfect. If any of y'all could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

They have a beautiful campground right at stubblefield.. Be forewarned, this is stump city. i will not put my Bass Cat in this part of the Lake. We use the Carolina Skiff. I have never seen anyone get their motors out of an idle, other than to get off a stump. The perch are starting to move into that area. Call the ranger station there out of New Waverly for details

Thanks blucat...someone mentioned Cagle. Are you familiar with this campground? I think that might be our best bet.

Yes. I know all about Cagle. Probally 4/5 miles south of Stubblefield. Also stump city. I have all my routes GPS'ed on Track back and believe me there is Giant stumps in 20 ft. of water. A lower unit mechanic's dream.
