Are there any you would like to see changed? Do you agree with all their limit and size requirments? How do you feel about the new $5 addition to the fishing license to benefit the hatchery? |

They don't really effect me much. Generally I throw back every fish I catch anyways. I like to fish, but I'm just not a big fish fan most of the time. I kind of figure TPWD is going to find some way to tack on a extra $5 or so every year on something, whether it's my hunting license or fishing license, so I am just grateful it's only $5 I guess. |

I don't mind the extra $5. Keep in mind Texas has some the the best hunting and fishing in the world. To have this it cost money, $60.00 (for license) sumpin bucks a year is a drop in the bucket compared to what all of my fishing arsoneal cost. Heck, I'll go through sixty bucks in gas for a day of fishing. |

As much of a tight wad I am, I really think it is worth the money. As far as the regulations, I used to spend a lot of time watching what they were doing and providing feedback through TPWD surveys and public comment forums. I believe that TPWD listens to the public and realizes that the financial ramifications of pissing off the general outdoorsman population would be detrimental to their efforts.
If I am not mistaken, there was a public comment forum on their web page before they did the freshwater stamp. The majority of the public that responded were in favor of the increase. I am pretty sure that I agreed with the stamp.
I encourage every sportsman (woman) to be active in the TPWD public comment section of their web page. Check the main FishingTexas.net page occasionally or links to public comment requests from TPWD.

Hey guys its only money...we spend more than that on beer. The super combo is well worth the price given the long hunting season and many lakes/rivers to fish from in this great state!

I just wanted to make sure I understood him correctly so that Rudey doesn't have a cow or anything.
