Charles,
I was there for two days last week and I alway use the main park ramp. The lake is small enough you can get around about anywhere with out worry about wind etc... I had a two day total of 22.45lbs with 8 fish. The club's BB was 5.96lbs. for the weekend. Jigs and brush hogs worked best for me. Let me know how you do.

I have a tournament April 16th. I'm planning on going out there this Friday and probably every weekend until the tournament to figure those little turds out.

Can anyone tell me how to get there, I'm having a hard time figuring out from the map I have.

I'll draw something up for you Charles along with focus points on the lake to start with.

I'll give you a hollar later about it.

I may have went to this lake yesterday. I can't remember. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a pattern. Fished 6 hours and had 12 keepers. Biggest 5 would have been around 15lbs. If you're able to make it a couple times before the tournament you will figure them out. If you're having trouble email me and I'll tell you what I do. I don't catch the bigger fish buy I do catch solid keepers.

Charles, you have email and the "cameen" email address. It has some drawn on pictures of Lake Bonham and directions to the lake.

Robert,

It's not a hard lake to fish. I went last Friday (First time on the lake) and caught plenty.

What I did was went to the middle of the lake and drifted down the gut. My best bait was carolina rigging a little george:-)

All you have to do is cruise around till you find some water that is 40 feet deep. Then drop shot a jigging spoon about 10 feet off bottom. Works every time.

I forgot about that one. I was originally going to fish the Solobass on the 10th and that was why I could not do the challenge. When you told me that the club tourney was on that weekend and on Bonham I think I will be passing on the Solo event.

Then the following weekend is the Irving Bass Club Open on Fork and I really want to be in that one. If I play this properly, I will be on the lake the next three weekends. My wife will be in Vegas the following weekend so me and the kids might have to hit the lake again in her absence... :-)

Hey Picou, I will be fishing that Bonham tourney with my son on saturday. Hope to see ya there.

Hey Charles, you should try caroline rigging with a 2 oz weight and rattle trap through the reeds and ripping it through! Really attracts the big ones!!
