I'm looking at buying a generator to run a RV Trailer. I don't know squatt about generators, so I'm asking ya'll. I do know I want a large gas tank so it can run for long periods, Quite, and reliable. What would ya'll recommend and where to buy. Thanks in advance! |

If you got the $$$$ Honda gas, or anything diesel. They make generators specificaly for RV's, Onan is the best but they too are muy $$$$$$$. I'd call an RV dealer and get the specs on the gen's they put in, then go buy it somewhere else. RV stores are HIGH. Fishing is alot like sex: Even when it's bad it's still pretty good!

I looked at some Honda's but the gas tanks are small! We currently have a 5000 watt generator that will run for about six hours under a heavy load, but the POS is to LOAD, and to many people are plugging into it. |

Any extended run generator will do,, just make sure you get at least 5500 watts or more. An easy way to think of it is to do the math. divide the wattage by the voltage and it'll tell you how many amps it will put out.. 5500 watts divided by 120 volts is 45.8 amps. that will run most RV's.
