Snapper season is about to open. I for one want to go give it a shot! For the coastal fishermen I would like to coordinate an offshore trip with a mosquito fleet. Unfortunately the spring does not offer as many calm days as the summer so we would have to try to make it an "on call" basis - based on the weather and seas. I think 2' to 3' seas is all I can take and prefer 2' or less with light variable winds. Any Input??

Again, very unlikely that I will be able to make it down there for any of this type of action till late in the summer. I hope ya'll can get something set up and go catch a mess of them.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Stop tempting me. I've only fished salt water once when I was in Cozumel. I've always wanted to do it again.

It really sucks that work always seems to get in the way of things.

Dean,
I like the idea of the mosquito fleet, the more boat the marrier. You are right about the weather in the Spring, it is a bit rougher then in the Summer. At this time of the year I can mainly go fishing on Saturdays. During the Summer we work 4 - 10 hr. days so then I would be able to go fishing on Fridays also. Like PQ I am trying to do my projects (hony do) to have more fishing time. If you have a date and time let me know. I may have to start acting cranky so then my wife will tell me that I need to get out of the house and go fishing!
