When can you go? I called my crawfish supply and he said he can get them until July 4th I believe. Right now they are $2.50/lb and if anyone can get them cheaper it would be great. Lake Fairfield will be the lake... I am game for the latter part of May if that works out. Early in the months I have tournaments. Weekend of May 21st or May 28th I also need to check the park at Fairfield and make sure they are not booked for that weekend with something. Who would be staying the night and who would be driving home? Friday night? Saturday night? Keep in mind that there are no cabins out there so it would be tent or camper for sleeping. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

It could be really hot by then. The first gathering of TexasBowhunter.com (before it was even called Bownanza) at Granger Lake was so hot everyone was miserable! The weather this time of year is so much more comfortable for being outdoors. My vote is the sooner, the better. |

Aw... go jump in a lake Keith... Just being a smart arse, but actually that is one difference... we can go jump in the lake to cool off if it is that hot. April 30th is the earliest that I can do it and that would be tough with my wife just getting back from Vegas the weekend before. I'll look at the tournament schedule and see if I can push it up sooner. Give the swimming aspect of it some thought and let me know what you think Keith. Too bad it was not this weekend, Albertsons has crawfish on sale for $.99/lb... Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

The water in Fairfield in the summer is likely to warmer than the air!!! Not in May, though. The 28th is my birthday....wink wink nudge nudge I'd like to go, but don't know just yet if I'll be able. Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

April 30th would be my vote. By late May, both the air and water temp could be getting to hot for good fishing and our comfort. |
