Charles, I just sent ya an email. I myself fish saturday. The WINDY day. Tuff to stay on a spot. I caught two for just over 5 lbs. The bite was very light. The guys that fished friday faired better. I think most everyone had a limit. I'm sure Mark will post later. He is leading right now with just over 13 lbs. Water was dark, especially past the bridge.

Fishing was a little tougher than it was a couple of weeks ago. I ended up with a little under 14lbs. We still have guys fishing Monday so I don't know what the winning weight will be. The best pattern seemed to be plastics around the reeds. It didn't seem to matter what the plastic was. I also caught a good one off a the edge of a dock on a spinner. The water color is looking pretty good in the main lake. Water temp was in the low 70's by the end of the day Friday.

Did you make it up there this weekend? We looked for Picou but I guess he didn't make it.

Sorry guys, after that rain we had last week and my garage taking on water the last 3 storms I decided that it needed my attention. My wife was pleased that I worked on the house this weekend.

I really wanted to make this one but there was just no way around what needed to be done at the house. It took me most of the day Saturday just to break out the concrete and build the forum for the new concrete. Hopefully I will never have that problem again.

I hope to make a few more of the texbass events. Someone has to de-throne Texfisher... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Hey Picou, I have your money/widget for the lake fork tournament. I will give it to you when I see you or shoot me an email with your address and I'll send it to you. Hate it that you missed the tournament but sometimes there are other priorities. Hope you make the next one. Later

I went to the club page to vote for the next one and saw that Bonham was on the list. Is it possible to have the tourney at the same lake 2 times in a row? Connie has us scheduled for a youth rodeo on the 30th but I may be convinced to miss church that Sunday -- I really hate skipping church. If I can manage to make the next 2 Sundays I will not feel as bad.

Money/widget????? You mean I actually won something for the Fork tourney?
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Usually we don't vote the same lake for 2 consecutive tournaments. Someone who's name will be left unmentioned nominated Bonham again, but I doubt it will get voted in. Probably will be Texoma or Mcgee Creek.

With the price of gas these days, this enmentionable name will keep a close lake nominated. Even though I voted for a far away lake.

Picou, you have $10 and widget coming. Will pay for your next entry!

Congrats on the win Texfisher! By .01 ounces!!!!!

I fished the bass club challenge tournament on Texoma Saturday. I ended up in 6th place with a little of 6 lbs. The winning weight was around 11 lbs. Our club missed winning the club average by one fish. I think the lewisville club ended up winning overall.

The bad thing about texoma right now is it's very low. I had to adjust my pattern since my normal spots were out of the water. I was happy with the results since it was the first time I've been on the lake bass fishing this spring. Won my entry fee back plus a little to boot. Mcgee would probably be better fishing, it's just a longer drive.

I already voted.... Texoma is close enough for me to pre-fish :-)

Congrats on your placings for the Bonham club and the BC Challenge. Where are you fishing this Saturday or are you working?

I have to work this Saturday. I was over at Bonham yesterday but the bass had shut off. Only caught 2 keepers so I went crappie fishing. Ended up with a dozen keepers and a bunch of short fish.
