My best friend, Patrick along with Audra and I all got up yesterday morning ready to head to Tawakoni at 5:40 AM. Audra couldn’t find her fishing license and stayed home searching for it. Patrick and I caught about 50 sandies, but also traveled 20.4 miles on the water (by GPS) before noon chasing birds and looking for fish that were biting. Unfortunately, we forgot the camera in the truck.

This morning, after Audra purchased a replacement license, we were on Tawakoni again at the break of day. The first fish of the morning was a 26.5” Hybrid Striper Audra caught. It took about an hour to catch the next fish. We did find some more Hybrids, but none were as large as the one Audra caught earlier. By the time we quit around 11:30AM, we had boated close to 100 fish. The sea gulls are on Tawakoni by the thousands. There was some top water action, but very few were actually breaking the surface. We’ll get some pictures up soon.

The big fish of the day was this 26.5 inch hybrid that Audra caught on one of her very first casts of the day.
Audra's good hybrid
It was so big she could barely lift it!

The gulls were thick. We didn't get that many in this picture, but we were in the middle of them and they were all around us just like this and in every direction for hundreds of yards.
Sea gulls

The graph was covered up with fish. When they didn't bite, I brought them in the boat anyway! :-)
Snagged sand bass
If you look close, you can see seagulls in the back ground.

That is one nice hybrid.

Proof once again that the Latimer crew knows their stuff

Congrats ya'll on getting into some great Tawakoni action. That is one heck of a Hybrid Aud and Patrick -- great job. What happened to Keith's fish? Too busy being captain/guide? :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
