Well, you can definitely tell it is that time of year in South La. Fish are starting to transition for that summer run and they are kind of confused as to what they want to do. Fished Saturday with very little results. Water was kind of low. So a lot of redfish but they were real cautious about hitting. The would follow the spoon and other baits but just would not seal the deal. Got into some trout Blowing up on some small minnows but had absolutely no luck catching them. I basically emptied the box on them and just had no luck. Ended the afternoon with 2 reds and about ten trout. Very little tide this weekend and fish seemed to be a little spooky. I imagine all the bad weather and wind we had last week played into it. Oh well, there is always next weekend.

It's just a transition. Gives Wade some time to catch up on Honey-do's... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Have not been doing any honey-do's. I bought a new house and don't have horses unlike PQ. Just pure kid watching. Got the popup blind fixed this weekend. Washed the truck. Boiled crawfish Friday at 49 cents/lb. What a deal. Ate to much at my mom's yesterday: homemade eggrolls, sirloin roast, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, red velvet cake with fresh strawberries. Had Caroline's friend Bday party yesterday. Will post some pictures later.

Unbelievable how much my wife spends on a dang Bday party but if I buy another pack of broadheads (as far as this goes I agree with her: last count I was up to about 38 of them) or some fishing baits (which I have to many to count) watch out.
