As most of you know, I enjoy attending church with my family and being involved with the church activities. Well, every now and then I get talked into singing during the service and this upcoming Sunday is one of those times. My daughters and I will be singing a song by Buddy Jewell -- "Help Pour Out The Rain". I would like to extend an invitation to any of you that might be interested in visiting our church and making fun of me afterwards... :-)

After church we will be grilling some venison burgers at my house.

Of course, this invitation is not limited to this weekend. Any of you are always welcome to join us for church.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

You know I love making fun of you as much as anyone but don't think I'll make it. I'm shocked of thinking of you standing up in front of someone and singing I can't even think of anything funny to say! One of these days I'll be able to say "I used to know him".
I've been known to pinch a tail or two in my life!

:-) His knees are going to shake and his voice is going to quiver. Heck, the Lord Almighty might have to lay the smack down on the boy and force him to sit down if it gets too bad :-)

Good luck Mike, wished I could be there in body. I'll join you in spirit...till the good Lord tells you to sit down and let your daughters finish the song :-)

LOL Rob... I sure hope I can keep it together up there. I have a hard time singing it in the truck without getting choked up thinking about my girls. It's that line "Am I gonna see my grandpa..." that gets me since both mine and Connie's dads passed away a long time ago and the kids have never met their grandpas.

The girls and I did this last year and we sang Alabama's "Angels Among Us". It was really nice to have my mom, grandma, Dean and his family there when that occurred.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

It went well. The girls were great and I made it to the end of the song. I got a little choked up when the girls started singing but pulled it together before the end.
