Headed down to Wes' ranch SE of Seguin this past weekend. What an awesome weekend and company with Simek, Rob, and Wes. Some very funny stories and new nicknames were made as usual. Rob and Simek were there to do some turkey hunting and fishing. Wes and I to enjoy some serious adult beverages and maybe fish. Well, I lived up to my reputation and whipped Wes bass fishing in John's stocked pond. Some reason no one wanted to take a picture of my 4 lb bass. Caught probably about ten bass on Zoom green pumpkin jr fluke working it about as fast as you can.
My main purpose to go down was to cook some crawfish for these guys to cement the July Redfish Arama. 41 lbs of crawdads, 2 red bags of potatoes, 16 ear of corn, cloves of garlic and onions. 5 people eating plus one snacker. This is all that was left.
Thanks for the invite and good times Wes. I'll let Wes, Chris, and Rob post fishing pictures.

I know we should be thinking gills and fresh water and such but who can resist a hunt and fishing trip all wrapped into one?

Ahhhhh...yes a good time was had by all that attended. Good friends were made into great friends. And plenty of side jokes, quotes, and nicknames were made. We even thought of Picou once.
Dean, no we were just transfering fish from one pond to another for the owner of the fish farm at that time. If he would have come out of the river though he would have been in a bind!

Congrats on the nice catfish there Simek... Looks like ya'll had a great time and I wish I could have been there.
Also boys -- Rob & Chris... Congrats on the fine birds. I bet Wes was pleased to have them corn buzzards off the place. I know how much he loves them things...
Bigun... Great job on the bugs (as if that even needs to be said). You are one heck of a cook and it is always a treat to enjoy your cooking and company.
