This weekend was my daughters last soccer game for the season and with the kids and I singing in Church my MIL wanted to come stay with us and attend all these events. So, I decided to treat her to some crawfish since she missed the last time. I had reserved a sack at Albertsons but when I called they said they could not get them. So I called my other place and he had some extra sacks. It was a long drive back into Plano but worth the effort...

Once the beer was on ice and the porch set up it was time to cook up some mudbugs...

fixins

Of course, Connie had to go play with the bugs -- she will pick up a crawfish but won't touch a fish...

Once the first batch was done and it was time to eat they did not waste any time digging in.

Once all the crawfish had been peeled and Connie and her mom finished the bottle of Chionte<sp?> they were done... Now we had a little relaxing time around the table while the girls and I practiced our song for Sunday morning.

afterbugs

It was a great time and the bugs were delicious. My MIL is always a pleasure to be around and she brough some delicious home made deserts -- iced bannanna cake and apple pie. I look forward to doing it again.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

What a good son in law and dad! Looking good PQ. I'm almost tired of crawfish myself! Bring on the shrimp season! :-)
