Most of you know about the issues I have been having with my Ranger bay boat. The last time I took the boat out the washdown pump (4th time), live well pump, and the fiberglass console support structure cracked / crushed. I delivered it to Travis with a list of several different issues including these. I was told that the fiberglass issue was probably because there was a void in the fiberglass.

So - Ranger is going to build me a new boat! Thank You Ranger!

Now - my delima - I will have a new boat that will have some re-sale or trade in value (NEW Hull). Do I want to keep this new Ranger hull with all of my equipment and see if the issues re-occur or should I try to do something else?

Looking for feedback - Ya'll help me out here!

I still think you got a bad hull so I would give the new boat some time and see if everything works out for the best. If you had none of the problems, you would have been very happy with your boat right?

I am so glad that Ranger is finally taking care of this.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I would give the new one one chance and that is it. If you take it out and anything goes wrong with it I would be looking to trade it off for the bast deal I could find. You have been more than patient with them trying to work out the issues.

Dean, you are the only person I've ever talked to have trouble with a Ranger bay boat. Most of the people I've talked to that have them love them but I must warn you that I only know about two Ranger owners. I'd probably chalk it up to a lemon and give the new one a chance unless you have other info that other's are having problems.
I've been known to pinch a tail or two in my life!

Well guys, That sounds like good advice. After reviewing your responses and considering my other options - (22' Grady White $61,000 w/my motor) - I think I should probably give Ranger another shot at it. I am just afraid that I will end up going through this again - but like you say - this was probably just a case of "lemon". If Ranger had these problems with many of their boats, I think they would have pulled the product from the market. I have heard of a few that have had gelcoat issues but none that have had what I have.

Thanks - If you have anything else to add, do so.

I would prob keep the ranger also Dean. Like Wade said, ranger has a good rep., so this was probably a lemon.
