Connie wanted to take the kids riding on Sunday for Mother's Day so off they went. I worked around the house and basically enjoyed the quiet time until I get a frantic phone call from my wife.

She tells me that my youngest got her head slammed in the trailer tack room door when the wind blew it closed -- blew it off the keeper. She told me that she was bleeding in the back and over her eye so I met her half way and took Corey immediately to the hospital to be checked out. The good news was she did not suffer a concussion and no apparent injuries other than the obvious -- Thank you Lord...

She ended up with 4 stiches over her eye and a staple in the back of her head. She was a real trooper at the hospital and today you would not even know that she endured all this just a few days ago. I have thanked our Lord on many occasions that this was not any worse.

One thing is for sure, these girls should be tough as nails by the time they are adults... :-)

For those of you with trailers with those metal studs that pop into a rubber keeper on the trailer -- beware... I will be writing a letter to Exiss about my idea of how they can fix this. I was talking to a guy this morning and he told me his wife was leading a horse by the door of her trailer when the wind blew it off the keeper and it hit the horse. Needless to say, the horse freaked out. The idea that they have is great, but they just did not take it the extra mile to make it work right. I may modify our trailer and provide pictures with my letter. It's not just Exiss, I have seen these keepers on many trailers.

Glad the kiddo is ok. It really scares a parent to see their kids hurt that way. They are tough little boogers though and now she'll have a story to tell.

Ouch! That definitly looks like it hurt. Glad she is ok though.

Patent your idea first and maybe it will pay for the kids college tuition.

Well, it's good she's gonna be ok,, my youngest son has a scar in about the same place where he ran into the corner of the hall wall getting away from his older brother,, he'd been aggravating him pretty bad and the older one got enough of it .Kids,,,
