Had charters running for Denbury Mgmt. Come to find out the guys I was bringing fishing was from your neck of the woods PQ. Fished Thursday afternoon and made the mistake of going trout fishing instead of redfishing. Tide was absolutely pouring out of all the passes and never did get on any fish. Wound up with two reds and two trout.

Fished with the same group Friday but different guys. First spot wounded up catching about 20 trout but all but about 3 were throwbacks. Boats everywhere! Unbelieveable. Started heading East down the beaches and found about a 2 mile area with absolutely no boats. Started fishing the troughs on the beach and started pecking at the trout which turned into every cast action. Was some good steady action but just not many keepers. Ended the day with about 40 keeper trout and probably about 100 throwbacks. While not the best I've ever did was about the best report I heard the entire weekend. Everyone was bad mouthing the fishing on VHF and in the marina.

Did not fish Saturday. Woke up Sunday morning thinking I probably would go redfishing to a strange noise which I could not figure out was frying bacon or the washing machine running. Since I was the first up was not sure who was doing either. Walked into the kitchen and my toes are covered in water. The water hose on my washing machine busted somehow. Water everywhere. Luckily I caught it before it flooded whole house and was just on top of the linoleum in the utility, kitchen, and dining room. Nothing seriously damaged luckily and about a two hour clean up period.

Still not too bad. I like the 12in trout :-). I think they are better table fare!

Had the washing machine thing happen to me once while we lived in Palm Springs. I know the feeling! NOW I be sure to turn the water off if I will be gone for a day or so. Ya never know!!

I have Wes, Simek, Rob, and maybe John coming to my place July 7th weekend to hopefully stomp some redfish in the marsh. I'd open the invite but don't have enough camp room.
