Ran charters for Phillips Services this Friday and Saturday for the annual Houma Oilman Fishing tourney. What can I say but the REDFISH BITE IS ON! Easy limits of 20 on Friday with 3 bass, a flounder, and 1 speckle trout for a bonus with 15 caught on Saturday. All caught on copper rex spoons except for two that fell to a plastic cocahoe. Looks like it will be a good summer due to they are already ganged in the big water and should be easy pickings. Some reason they did not want to weigh in any of the fish. Not sure why. When I found out Sunday they payed ten places I nearly fainted considering we probably had 5 to 6 fish that were right at 27" and would have easily contended. Oh well, I did not lose anything but their customers did. I planned on fishing Sunday and Monday but we finally got some rain and wind so decided to hang out with the kids instead.
