i just got me some rod holders yesterday for my john boat and they keep slipping off the edge when i clamp them down because its rounded off.i tried putting a piece of wood to wedge ther but that dont help either.any tips?i appreciate it. "If it aint got whiskers throw it back."

I am trying to picture the ones you got. On my 14' Lowe I had the ones that you get at Academy or Walmart that the base bolted to the rail of the boat and the holder was 3/8" threaded at the bottom. You just screwed in the rod holder when you needed it and took them out otherwise. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
