We have one pond about 3 1/2 acres that I put 900 catfish and 700 hybrid bluegills in 3 1/2 years ago. Started a feeder the same day and boy did they grow. Been trying to get people to catch them and especially my grown kids. Its amazing how lazy people are. They might come if they are already cooked. Anyway a friend of mine has a small dinner and asked for 50 lbs filets. Took the wife and I about 45 minutes to catch app. 65 fish. Turned everthing less than 4 lbs loose and fileted the rest. Got some of my feed $$ back. Now them bluegills are really growing, I'm guessing 1 1/2 lbs. You can put your thumb in their mouth to remove hook. Best eating fish in the water

Man I wish I had my own pond. That had to be one heavy stringer of fish.

Man I'm not lazy. Just too far away! I'd be there in a heart beat if not.

Now that's a fishing pond. Cousin has one in Huntsville that has a feeder on it. We put one crappie in it years ago and he is up to about 3-4lbs. You can catch him on a shiner of the right side of the pier everytime you go fishing. We just keep catching him and throwing him back.

Bluecat, I promise that my next visit to my mom's we will make a point to stop by there with the kids and catch a few and visit with ya'll if you are going to be around that weekend. I'll try to give you plenty of notice.

Maybe one of these days I will have a pond like that in the back yard... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
