Ok, I'll tell off on myself. Took saturday night off and went night fishing with a fellow bass club member over at Bonham. Got there a couple hrs before dark and stayed until 5am. My partner boated 10 fish with 4 of them keepers. Biggest was a 4.6lber. My total for the night was 1 perch on a senko! The bait was bigger than he was. I have no excuses, just a good ole country a$$ whippin'! Had to laugh about to keep from getting too frustrated. Oh well, will try again this week. Maybe. |

Hang in there HB, I have never had a good night on Bonham. Great days out there but the night fishing is totally different -- at least that has been my experience.

Don't get discouraged. That has happened to all of us. Probably the next time you go out you will "school" your buddy. |

I hope it gets better for you, but I am glad it's not just me! 
I went out on our little lake the other night and couldn't do anything right either. People were pulling in fish around the lake, and I was getting strikes nearly every cast on first a 7.5" ribbon worm, and then on about a 4" or 5" black and blue Zoom lizard. They'd hit, let them run a bit, and set the hook, and NADA! That was when I actually made it into the water. I think I pulled half the moss out of the lake, and then when I tried a buzzbait the damned thing tried to bury up on the back of my hand!
I got home and Lisa asked me how it went. When I told her she asked me, "If you weren't having a good time why didn't you just come home?" I told her I just couldn't quit. If I quit I knew I wasn't catching any fish for sure! |
