Are you going to fish the tournament next week? It's at Bonham so you shouldn't have any excuses for not fishing. If not I'll need to meet up with you to get the scales.

I am waiting for them to clear the roster from last tournament and I will register. I will be fishing friday night so if you do not already have scales, I have them still.

I do still have an excuse though... it is a 12 hour night tournament and I am a narcalept<sp?>... I will probably be fishing in the middle of the night and fall asleep standing up... :-)

What are the rules about guests? I have a guy that wants to fish with me and I told him he may be able to fish the night tournament with me.

Either way, I am looking forward to it. My wife knows I will be fishing. I assume that one of you has my money from the last tournament so just apply that $20 as my entry for this one.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Yes that sounds like you PQ especially behind the wheel. I think it is caused by driving to slow!!!

You can bring a guest. They haven't given out the money for the last tournament yet. I will talk to the secretary and let him know to keep yours for the entry. Anyone on the board going to be your guest?

No, he is a human and equine chiro and just generally very busy. As far as he knew when we talked a week or so ago he would be able to make it. Of course, I have not heard from him since but should see him this weekend when he comes out to work on Connie's horse. I just left him a message so I'll hook up with him soon to get it figured out.

You fishing with your dad on this one?

Talked to him and he is excited about getting out in the boat. Claims that he has been so swamped that he doesn't even have the time to fish his own pond at the house. I warned him about the entry fee cost and he thinks he can swing it... :-) He is a good guy and a very avid bowhunter so we will keep plenty busy chatting in the boat all night.

Connie banned me from the barn when he comes out to work on her horse -- she says I distract him with hunting and fishing talk... :-)

So Tex, what baits will you be throwing out there? Last time I fished Bonham at night I boated 1 fish in about 3 hours so maybe I can make it 4 fish over the entire tournament... :-) When is start time TD?

Sorry I haven't checked the ramp last few days. My dad is going to fish with me on this one. I've been over there twice in the last 2 weeks. Fished last night and had 12 fish with 7 being keepers. Fished from 9pm to 4am so I feel pretty good about weighing in a decent stringer.

As far as baits go, I will be throwing the ones that catch fish. No use bothering with the ones that don't. I pretty much stick to plastics at night. I have caught a few on spinners in the past but haven't thrown them much this year.

You may have already seen it on the homepage but start time is 7:30pm, first weigh in is 1:00am and final weigh in is 7:30am. Remember you can weigh in up to 5 fish at each weigh in. Also in case you didn't know you have to come to the first weigh in even if you do not have fish.

I'm just gonna throw black DD-22s at the dam all night long... :-)

I will not get a chance to test the waters before the tournament so I am just keeping my fingers crossed... What time are you going to be at the ramp Friday? We will probably get there around 7:00pm

I plan on leaving my house around 6:30 so we should be there around 7:00 or a little after. Should be plenty of light for fishing. The moon was so bright Saturday there no problem seeing shoreline structure.
