Posted on Monday, June 20, 2005 - 4:15 pm:    Topwater (Tom C) his youngest boy and I went to Fork Saturday for some night catfishing. We went out just before dark and baited out a few holes with sour grain then went back after we ate a big ole steak dinner with all the fixing. The fishing was most excellent with them coming from 17ft of water at the mouth of William Creek. We ended up keeping about 12 nice sized cats. The biggest was 5lbs. What was really a kick was watching my new lowrance LMS180. I was dropping my bait just under the trolling motor and I could see it falling down and as soon as you see the fish on the screen they would smack that Danny Kings punch bait. Speaking of DK's that is some great stuff to spread on a Ritz cracker while waiting for the big cats to move in. You can also try a pinch between your cheek and gums... boy that some good stuff, I mean I almost hate to use it for bait All in all we had a great time!! We did stay out way past my bed time 3:30am. I guess once all the beer was gone there really wasn’t a good reason to stay up any longer ;) Going to church and staying awake the next morning was a challenge.
