Went fishing off shore Friday for some Red Snapper. I had taken my buddy with me and a co-worker had mentioned that he would like to go. So off we went, the water was getting rough and the sun was getting hotter and hotter. Did we care! heck no! we are going fishing. We went to all my honey holes and did not find any honey (Red Snapper). Instead we started catching sharks and what small fish we did catch the sharks were quick to eat as we used them for bait also. My co- worker had never caught a shark and with his light tackle they kept on braking his line. When I caught my next big shark I gave him my rod and reel and told him have at it. He had a blast fighting this shark, when he brought in the shark he had the biggest smile. He was even more surprised when I caught a big sting ray that had a wing spand of 4 foot wide. We kept three sharks, 2 at 4 foot and 1 at 5 foot long. My co-worker is now looking into getting a bigger fishing rig and has stated that he is ready to go again. Rough water, Sun, heat, who care when your fishing!

Goodness thats a whole lot of poor man sea scallops!!!

I certainly could use one big wing chunk of that flat cat for a shark bait down PINS way :-)

That is absolutely terrible! Where are the snapper at? Sounds like fun otherwise was had by all.
I've been known to pinch a tail or two in my life!

That sounds like a fun trip. I have not caught shark in many... ...many years. That is one monster stingray also... Congrats on a great day on the water.

Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
