about ten guys and i are going down for a batchlor party and i was wondering if anybody knew where and how to fish down there. my fat fingers cant spell I'll probably turn into a floating turd and Picou will break the knob off my post counter immediately. ATW 2/10/05

The best luck I have had is wading in between piers. You can usually wade out to the end of the piers. It has been about 7-8 years since I have been there, so don't know how the fishing is. Never caught any reds, but always caught good trout and some good flounder. We used Texas Trout Killers. You can also fish the lighted piers at night with live shrimp and catch fish. I have my best luck fishing off the lighted pier at Goose Island. The Trout hit it hard after about 10:00 PM. Last time I was there (Oct. 2004) we caught 250 in one night. The problem was we only had 4 keepers. Lots of 14" fish around there. We also wade fish off San Jose Island and caught a lot of sand trout and 4 Reds. | ||

Sturm, too much is when you can't get up to go fish. Went to my brothers bacholer party last year at Port A and several of his friends couldn't get up Saturday morning to fish. The sad thing is that I probably consumed as much as them if not more (seeing that I didn't sleep at all Friday night). Vegatarian: Indian Word for Bad Fisherman | ||
