Nice fish OZ. I've caught some of my nicest spots at Lake of the Pines. I only fished it once when my parents were camping out there. Looks like I need to get back out there.

Nice spot. It has been about 7 years since I have had a chance to fish Lake of the Pines. Need to get back there myself.

My dad and I used to fish at Lake O' The Pines quite a bit! We were camping there for a week one summer, and accidentally stumbled into a spotted bass "hot spot". We were sand bass fishing at the time we started catching the spots. We spent most of the rest of the week sitting on that particular drop off catching one spot after another. Looking back now, I can almost guarantee that my dad caught what would be the Lake O' The Pines record spot. The fish was any easy 6+ pounds. We didn't even think about it at the time since we weren't really familiar with the spots. This was just an average "nice" bass to us.

I wish we had had it "officially" weighed.

Anyway, that was a ton of fun. Crankbaits right off a dropoff, tons of fish.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

If we could swing the camera down inside the fish's mouth on the left we would also find it's full of trash! :-)

The fish on the right was caught swimming in circles chasing his tail. :-):-)

Bonham doesn't have any quality fish like that in it. That has to be some east texas lake.
