Yesterday was my 19th birthday so I treated myself to a new fishing rod from work. I talked for a long time with the employees in the Fishing Department on which rod I should buy for and how I would be using it, they all pointed me in the direction of the Falcon Cara. I went with a 6'6" Medium-Heavy action rod. I'm real impressed with how sensitive the rod tip is but at the same time how much back bone there is for those hard hook sets.

I walked down to the river by my house yesterday after work to give it a few casts, so far I love it.

I'm headed out the door to to ranch to fish until dark, maybe I can try it out on some fish.

I was wondering, who else here uses Falcon Rods and likes them? This is my first one and I'm real impressed with it so far.

I don't personally have one but the charter fisherman I run for has them and I really like to use them. Great rod and hard to beat. You made a good choice.

I have a few of the originals and have loved them. I haven't upgraded to the lowriders or caras but I figure they have to be good.

My wife says I have too many of them. I keep telling her I only need a few more.

You made a good choice.

I use the Cara and Lowrider and love them both. Falcon stands behind thier products, too. This famous "Charles" guy told me about the Cara.

Like Texfisher, I have some of the original "Carolina Lizard Draggers" and love them. You made a good choice.

I don't know if they still are, but at the time I bought mine, the All Stars, Castaways, and Falcons were all made from the same G. Loomis blanks, so there was virtually no difference in those three brands.

Falcon. What more needs to be said to say that you got a great fishing rod.
