I got just got back from bonito lake today. The weather was in the 80's during the day, and the 60's at night. We caught a quite a few trout on small spinners and powerbait. They where not very big, but sure were tasty.

Bonito lake is about fifteen miles from Ruidoso. Pretty country, but really expensive.

Always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...

Congrats on a great trip and a mess of rainbows. Looks like ya'll had a great time and brought home the bounty to prove it. Sweet trip and thanks for sharing with us.

Of course, I cannot let it go without saying... That is one tiny trout there... He definately bit off more than he could chew... Takes a ton of skill to catch 'em that small -- I always say... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
