Who all on here has a kayak? I am looking into getting one. I am going to try to head down to Rockport this weekend and look at some. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a Tarpon 12. It is a 12 foot sit on top. I like it a lot for fresh water. If I were to do the bays or surf I would look at the T 140 (14ft) or the Ride. All by Wilderness Sytems

TKF is a good site for questions and info on Kayaking.

Pros/cons if T140 vs Ride

T140 will be slightly faster, Ride will be more stable (most are able to stand on to cast). the T120 is plenty stable but probably cannot stand on to cast. Takes less paddling to get to where you are going in the Tarpon.
Love to fish and hunt.
