We will be at the lease with the kids and horses so I am bringing a few rods to see if I can catch something other than a buzz. I will have the camera handy.
My goal is to have a LDP with a hog and fish in the same picture...

Tear them up Mike! I will be teaching two boys how to fish and smoking a 5lb pork butt roast for some pulled pork Sunday. |

Mike, give me a call before you head to the lease. Need you to change something on my camera's. Also, I would check both of my cameras when you get there to see if the hogs are coming to my feeders. |

Sunday morning we will probably be riding the horses at Ft. Richardson. Will be headed back mid day to get he kids ready for the first day of school.

School is overrated. Come one Picou give them one more day off. I remember when I didin't start school until after labor day. |

Weightless green french fries are poison on pond bass. And black/chartreuse spinner baits for some reason are always good on a pond.

We decided to hold off till morning to leave for the lease. I will have to spend some time with the chain saw just to get to the shoreline of this pond to fish. Dale, I will throw some V&M chartruce pepper in the bag and some watermelon tiki sticks. Thanks for the advice. All I was bringing for plastics was watermelon lizards & flukes and some green pumpkin lizards. My favorite pond spinnerbait is a black head, white/chartruse skirt in the 1/8 oz size with a nickle hammered colorado single blade. I had one that I finall broke the hook on a fish after 14 years of catching fish. It took me a year to find a suitable replacement but it still is not as productive as the "Bull Dog" spinnerbait I used to use.
