Is 10 lbs of fish in 2 1/4 days of fishing really exciting as ESPN is trying to make it? I guess anyone can make it but other than that.... It kinda looks like a SNOOK! | ||

Sturm, that is what I was laughing about on another fishing site. They were stating these are pro's and they are doing no better than our local club tourneys. If you only have 1 lb fish in the fishing area, you only going to catch 1 lb fish period: pro, amateur, kids. Hard to improve if fish are not there. It kinda looks like a SNOOK! | ||

I just got back from a week in Pittsburgh covering the Classic. It was amazing! I know ESPN tried to capture the intensity of the tournament but that is a difficult task. You have to remember, this is a contest not a trip to Lake Guerrero. We interviewed most of the pros and they agreed the fishing sucked but at least it was an even playing field. Look at the guys that made the top six. The best in the world and Kevin VanDam may be the best ever. Good deal Dru. Devin told us you were up there and I watched for you on ESPN but never saw anyone I thought was you. not really just trying to inflate your ego.  I bet it was a fun trip and from someone who doesn;t usually watch the bassmasters on tv I think ESPN did a pretty good job of pumping it up. | ||
