Went fishing a few hours with a guide (Reel Threel Salt Water Charters) out of Freeport and the water was awesome - slick - clear - and the kings were on fire. We cought and released several along with some small shark, Ling, and snapper. We ended up happy campers for about a 4 hour trip.

I am going to try Black Tip Shark this weekend. I'll soak it in milk overnight and then baste it with lemon, butter, lemon pepper, and of course Tony's. Grill it and try it. Hopefully it will turn out good...

Way to go Dean. Look slike a nice ling up front in the pic. I have never soaked my blacktip in milk. Does it make it better? I think it is awesome just like it is. We grill it with the same seasonings yu are talking about.

Blacktip on the BBQ sounds great to me...

That looks like an awesome 4 hour trip to me and well worth the money you spent. Give a little more incintive to trade that Ranger in on a Grady... :-)

Excellent haul big brother... Congrats!
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

One less shark in the water. Got to love that.

That BT will eat great as will that ling up front. All Freeport is good for is fishing. i grew up there and the place has really died in the past 20 years or so. I understand it has turned into a pit lately.
Love to fish and hunt.

Well we cooked the shark and Ling and man was it good --- I will definately keep black tip shark again.

Freeport is not a nice as Galveston but you can sure get to deep water quick from there.

We gave all of the king fish away. :-)

Great trip and heck of a bunch of good filets.

Grilled blacktip or mako marinated in Viva Italian dressing and grilled real fast over a smokey fire. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
